Inspiration – Purple and Red

I’ve been blessed with AMAZING clients, but there is a forever special place in my heart for Sheila Willard.  Sheila was not only one of my very first VeruDesigns clients back when we were just starting out, but since then she has never stopped supporting what we do, and has given me the absolute privilege of choosing VeruDesigns as her first choice for special birthday presents no just to her loved ones (several times!), but herself :-)

 

Sheila – If you’re reading this, know that your support and business means to world to me! Thank you, thank you, thank you.

 

Today’s reveal, which you can see HERE, are two custom made bracelets for Sheila, which are based on her favorite two colors: Purple and Red.

 

I thought that you may enjoy seeing not only the Inspiration board for both pieces , but also how this board translated into the individual bead designs for both bracelets.

Finding Inspiration…

How do YOU find inspiration?

I spent last week at an AMAZING workshop with the fabulous DESIGNLOVEFEST girls in Brooklyn, NY.  The main theme for me personally, was “inspiration“. And what a treat that was!  We had our gathering at PATINA, which couldn’t be a more inspiring place to be for any artist no matter what your craft!  Something else I LOVED about this workshop was the amazing women entrepreneurs I got to meet. All of them not only incredibly talented, but following their dreams. Photographers, wedding planners, interior designers, AMAZING bloggers, style gurus…you name it! All mostly based in NYC.  I’m still gathering links to their websites, but come back later to check out their amazing works at the bottom of this post!

La anterior semana estuve participando en un taller con las chicas fabulosas de DESIGNLOVEFEST en Brooklyn, NY.  El tema principal para mi personalmente fue “inspiración” y como encontrarla. Y que gusto que me di!  Nuestro encuentro fue en una casa de diseño llamada  PATINA, que no podía haber sido un lugar mas perfecto para la ocacion!

 

Otra cosa que me encanto, fue conocer a tantas mujeres empresarias INCREIBLES. No solo talentosas, pero todas siguiendo sus sueños en la vida: Fotografas, planeadoras de evento, diseñadoras, estilistas, bloggers…de todo! Todas con base en Nueva York. Aun estoy recolectando los enlaces a sus paginas web, pero espero que regreses a esta pagina para ver el trabajo increíble de estas mujeres.

 

Me encantaria leer tus ideas acerca de que es lo que te INSPIRA.  No importa lo que hagas a nivel de trabajo o para divertirte… algo inspirado transforma lo ordinario en extraordinario.  No seas timido/a y comparte tus ideas, anécdotas en la sección de comentarios (abajo).

Purple and Red – Inspiration Board

So, I’m about to start the design phase for my beautiful client Sheila (who is one of our absolute favorite CLIENTS here at VeruDesigns!).  So far this is the “Inspiration Board” I’ve come up with (see below).

Quisiera comisionar dos brazaletes.  Uno con el color purpura como el color primario y  el segundo brazalete con el color rojo como primario. Son mis dos colores favoritos. Es muy probable que me los ponga muy seguido y juntos.  Estoy con muchas ganas de ver el diseno que se te inspire!!

Estoy apunto de comenzar la fase de diseno para nuestra querida cliente Sheila (quien es una de nuestras clientes MAS QUERIDAS aqui en VeruDesigns!). Hasta ahora este es el “tablero de Inspiracion” en el que estoy basando mi diseno (vean abajo).

Pero si estos colores (purpura y/o rojo) son uno de tus colores favoritos y tu tienes alguna idea o imagen que podrian ser parte de la inspiracion para estas piezas, me ENCANTARIA que compartas tus ideas con nosotros!! Shop On The Square – 2012: Week-long Art Sale, December 3-9

A FABULOUS night at the prestigious Philadelphia Art Alliance!

We just got back from the annual inauguration reception and auction, where our comissioned necklace  –the Esperanza Necklace – took center stage among all the other beautiful pieces on the main presentation table, and was later auctioned tonight to benefit the Alliance.

 

Tonight also marked the inauguration of their annual “Shop On The Square” week-long event, also benefiting the Alliance.  If you live in or around Philadelphia, don’t miss this opportunity to see some of our pieces in person and enjoy the amazing works of other artists.  Shop On The Square is a week long sale event in the main exhibition halls of the Philadelphia Art Alliance, showing and selling the works of acclaimed artists and designers.
